Splatter screen during simmering sauces?
When I reduce tomato sauce or make gravy, it sometimes pops and splatters even on low heat. Does a screen help with that gentle bubbling or is it only useful for high-heat frying?

It actually helps with simmering too those little pops still send red dots everywhere. I leave the screen on loosely during reduction stages and it catches the minor splashes without trapping too much steam (sauce still thickens fine). This one works great for both high-heat frying and lower simmers https://www.amazon.com/splatter-screen-for-frying-pan/dp/B0DSWPHZ6K?tag=contractorhub-20 mesh lets enough air through, dome gives space, and it’s easy to set on/off. Keeps my white stove from looking like a crime scene after Bolognese night. Very versatile.
